Columbia District
African Methodist Episcopal Church
Church School

The Columbia District Church School component under the leadership of the Presiding Elder and the District Superintendent, is charged with effectively recruiting, training, preparing, and cultivating the Superintendents of each local church to teach the word of God to youth and adults. The Columbia District strives to model the body of Christ through the taught word in our daily living as well as in building and maintaining positive relationships with one another in a changing society that commands of us to, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” Matthew 28: 15-20.

Mission Statement
We, the members of the Christian Debutante-Master Commission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, endeavor to promote the principles and doctrines of Christian Education as set forth in the guidelines of this initiative. We will create an environment for spiritual growth and development of our youth through exploration of “spiritual gifts”; availing resources and remembrances that will guide, instruct and instill Christ-like attributes in our youth. Furthermore, we resolve to work collaboratively and diligently in fulfilling our commitment to “creating a future worthy of our past.”
